Dry Needling involves penetrating the skin with very thin purpose designed needles. Needles are inserted into myofascial trigger points, muscle and fascia in order to promote therapeutic effects including pain reduction and improved function. Trigger points are irritable sections within tight bands of muscle tissue that respond well to dry needling.
Physiologically dry needling assists in improving local circulation and promotes the release of pain mediating chemicals and endorphins.
When booking an appointment with us, please request dry needling at that time.
